A former roommate of mine once used my oven mit as a grease strainer for some sausage she'd fried. Oh the horror as she placed the soggy mit in the utensil drawer...
My roommate used to regularly use our oven mitts and dish towels to soak excess grease off of her food. (She also used to scramble eggs in MY non-stick pan with a metal fork...)
Funny experience. My roommate clogged up the bathroom once, and couldn't find the plunger, so she kept trying to flush the toilet to get rid of the clog, and the toilet ending up overflowing the entire bathroom. Meanwhile, the plunger was just chilling next to the sink. Muahaha. *Sigh*. You gotta love your roommates. They provide some sort of entertainment.

This is the funniest blog I've seen to date. I sympathize with you, though. Got a bitchy roomie of my own, who acts like she's the queen of the apartment. I hate how she treats my other roomie. Some people are just not meant to live with other people, seriously...

I smypathize, I have had some truly horrid roommates in my time...many of their bodies have still not been found ;)
I share your pain. What my resident cow lacked in common sense she made up for in pretension. To say that she had as much intelligence and talent in her whole being as a pig has in its ass, would be unfair to the pig. I am sure that her stupidity is Chinese water torture for all people unlucky enough to be around her longterm.
How about that: my flatmate decided to have a barbecue one day and since she has never lived alone until now (30 years old but almost like a 13)she decided to wash the grill in the bath, with clothes detergent!! I did not go to ther barbecue to risk to be poisoned....
Argh this always happens to me!! My flatmate ( a male, no offence but i don't know any females -apart from your flatmate- that do this sort of thing) used the tea towel to turn a pizza that was in the oven ( without a cooking tray or anything under the pizza to catch the crumbs). The tea towel was filthy, but seeing as I am the only one who seems to wash the tea towels in the house, it just wasn't his problem, right??!
